Great gesture but perhaps not a goodbye. I honestly can't see anyone taking him. Nobody in the Champ will pay his wages and Prem teams won't want him. Either we pay him off or he lets his contract run down. Might as well keep him. If he can remain fit he's useful off the bench at any level.

Last weekend I went to shop watching all the dippers driving up and down beeping their horns putting up flags and celebrating. This morning I did the same walk in my Leeds shirt and actually got a couple of congratulations from the a few of the lads down the street who were on their way out along with see you next season for easy points

I think he's earned a shot at it. He deserves it. Top bloke and has done a great job.

Whether it's the correct decision regarding the prosperity of Leeds United remains to be seen, but I'd rather see us succeed in the Prem with him than succeed with some other manager. Just hope the board pull the plug early if it's a disastrous first couple of months.
